Open Studios is crucial to attracting audiences for all JP companies, critical for over 200 small business artists to earn income, and critical to building community among neighbors.

For sixteen years, Open Studios has been the single most important event of the year for Jamaica Plain artists. The arts community is essential to the health and vitality of Jamaica Plain, and Open Studios is essential to the health - even existence - of the arts community.

Open Studios artists pay a fee to participate, covering half of the overall operating expenses. We also rely on your annual support and business ads. Your ad reaches every neighborhood in Boston and 60 greater Boston communities with over 100,000 printed maps. In addition, we advertise on WBUR, New England’s leading source of news and information – expanding promotion north to NH, south to RI, and west to Worcester.

The Jamaica Plain Arts Council is a 501(c)(3) organization and your donations may be tax-deductible.
