Cinderloop/ Antoinette Indge
Cinderloop handmade clothing, designed by Antoinette Indge, features unusual detailing and stylish, wearable shapes in fluid jersey knits. Antoinette's intuitive approach explores the possibilities of the fabric through draping, and uses inventive stitch details to define and shape the finished design, with a strong focus on fit. Each piece of Cinderloop clothing is sewn by Antoinette in her studio.Antoinette was born in London, England, and growing up could often be found either reading long novels, drawing or making things of all description. After studying sculpture at Chelsea College of Art and Design, she moved to Brooklyn, NY in the mid-90's. Antoinette rediscovered her lifelong love of craft when she found a stash of 40s and 50s knitting patterns. Initially focusing on knitting and crochet, she started designing women's clothing under the name Cinderloop in 2002, and got her start at The Market NYC for Young Designers, getting valuable feedback from customers and learning from other designers. Antoinette currently lives in Lowell, MA where she is part of a thriving artist community at Western Avenue. She welcomes studio visits by appointment. www.facebook.com/cinderloop www.cinderloop.com instagram.com/cinderloop
